Fall 2013 Auditions!
It's that time of year again! The MIT/Wellesley Toons, MIT and Wellesley's only cross campus a cappella group, will be holding auditions for new members! We can't wait to meet you!
Why audition for the MIT/Wellesley Toons?!
1) The Toons have a ton of fun together!
2) We make sweet, sweet music!
3) What do you have to lose?!
The Toons, founded in 1990, sing a wide variety of songs and perform at many different gigs. We've performed everywhere from President Kim Bottomly's holiday party to Disney World, and sung everything from Boyz II Men to the Pokemon theme song.
There is NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED to audition for the Toons! Some of our best members have been exclusively "shower singers" in the past! If you love to sing, come audition!
Auditions will take place over the weekend of August 30-September 1.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 30 - Wellesley, Jewett Art Center, 7-9 pm
SATURDAY, AUGUST 31 - MIT, 4-149, 10 am-3 pm
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 - Wellesley, Jewett Art Center, 11 am-2 pm
Please prepare the verse and a chorus of a song you feel really shows off your voice! Don't be nervous; we are so excited to hear you sing! We understand that auditions are a nerve-racking process; we all went through it too! Just relax and have fun, and know that we are all rooting for you!
See you at auditions!

The MIT/Wellesley Toons present the 7th Annual Concert for a Cure
Each year, we host our “Concert for a Cure”, an annual benefit concert in support of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research. Since its inception, this benefit concert has grown from a small variety show to a large inter-campus event that is well attended by many students from MIT, Wellesley, and greater Boston area colleges. One of our goals is to expose the Boston collegiate community to a variety of art forms from music, to dance, to improvisational comedy, to acrobatic juggling. We seek to incorporate a number of different groups each year to foster community among performance ensembles in the Boston area. Donations in support of MS research come from the audience on a purely voluntary basis and all proceeds go directly to the Accelerated Cure Project, a national nonprofit organization founded by an MIT alumnus dedicated to curing MS by determining its causes. Combating MS is particularly important to our group as one of our members was diagnosed with the disease seven years ago, and the group has since been dedicated to providing awareness and support for the cause.
Congrats to our Fall 2012 Jingles!!!
We had a lot of talent come out this year, so we'd like to once again congratulate our new members:
